Description
Marco Benevento “Escape Horse”/”Fireworks” is a limited edition 7-inch vinyl pressing. Only 500 copies are available. Side A is a full on piano rock barn-burner called “Escape Horse” with Marco joined by none other than Phish bassist Mike Gordon and critically-acclaimed drummer Matt Chamberlain (to the best of our knowledge, the first time these two have ever been on the same recording together as a rhythm section). Side B is a lilting tarantella-like waltz that sets up one of Benevento’s ever infectious melodies entitled “Fireworks.” The rhythm section is comprised of Reed Mathis on bass and Andrew Barr on drums.
